Coomba Park, NSW
At the end of the road, on the edge of the lake.
Welcome to our tranquil village on the western shores of Wallis Lake.
Brought to you by the Coomba & District Progress Association.
Where wallabies wander at dusk
Wallis Lake is the crown jewel of Coomba Park — so quiet you can genuinely hear the silence. Pelicans soar overhead, sea eagles meander across the sky, and wallabies wander the fringes of Wallingat National Park as evening settles in.
Built by the people who live here
The hall, the tennis courts, the swimming pool, the children’s playground — every facility in Coomba Park was fought for and funded by locals. Since the 1970s, the Coomba & District Progress Association has been the backbone of that effort, the longest continuously serving progress association in the Great Lakes Shire.
Still happening, right now
Dragon boats leave the Aquatic Club at dawn, dolphins sometimes joining the paddle. The Men’s Shed runs Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Singers rehearse without auditions. This isn’t a heritage story — it’s what’s on this week.
